Today I Enter Minor Assembly Valhalla

We decided to invest in a grill for some cookouts this year and Walmart was running a sale on a pretty nice model for twenty bucks. I was in charge of putting it together. After a great deal of toil, it came together magnificently. I would definitely say it has been my greatest work of engineering to date. It might even rival say, the Pyramids, the Manhattan Project, the Sistine Chapel. and other of mankind's great feats.

All of you are invited to free cookouts sometime. Sadly the best picture I have isn't a perfect representation. Just imagine it looking pretty much the same, only the top is red.

Angry Sega Nerd: The Worst Thing I Have Ever Seen

Some crustache wearing kid with a Stone Cold poster has decided to grace the world with a blatant rip off of Angry Nintendo Nerd. Calling himself "The Sega Kid", he decides to review a beta of an unreleased Sonic game called Sonic and Crackers, apparently completely oblivious to the fact that it is a beta despite all the missing graphics and sound that would clue in any normal person.

His review starts off with hilariously bad intro: "*awkward head twitch* Some of you are asking why I don't do a Sonic game. I only do games that are bad or okay. I don't do A+ games and Sonic is an A+ game *FOR* sure."

His review offers gems of pure wit such as "This shit is so confusing, like, what the hell?" and "I mean, were the people who made this game high off drugs when they made this or something?" and my personal favorite, "You know, all Sega games have their flaws. But this one just has too many flaws to it!". The last few minutes consisted of him saying "What is this shit?" over and over when the game entered some kind of glitch world. His replies to some of the comments made about the video is the stuff of legends.

Apparently, he has made an entire series of reviews, but I could only stand to watch this one. Nonetheless, feel free to check it out just to see the absolute worst thing on the entire internet.

My Thoughts on the GTA IV Trailer

Undoubtedly, the talk around everyone's respective water coolers today has been focused on one thing: the GTA IV trailer. I have witnessed this trailer with my own eyes, and I have to admit, I am very impressed. I feared the GTA series was going to go the way of, say Tomb Raider, but I think Rockstar has hit gold.

The visuals in the trailer look as good as anything we have seen this generation. The sheer scale and scope, complemented by an utterly insane amount of little details are going to deliver some of the most "I said wow" graphics ever. I mean, just look at all that is going on just in this single screenshot.

And I applaud the developers for the homage to Koyaanisqatsi with the Phillip Glass-esque music and the heavy use of time lapse. Good show, lads.

Alright, now artistic pretentiousness aside, what we have seen looks like it is going to really kick a lot of ass. A return to the classic setting of Liberty City is admirable and what looks like an Arab/Turkish/Persian/random Western-Asian main character should be quite interesting. It is cool that Rockstar is abandoning the traditional Mafia/Tony Montana/gangsta archetypes typically used in these sorts of games and going down a completely new path. Definitely a bold move I would say. Many top industry analysts were predicting a female lead, it looks like it was not to be, at least this time.

So is GTA IV the game that will prove to be the panacea for Take-Two's current financial ills? Time will tell, but I would say they are going to generate a lot of positive buzz with this trailer and I can honestly say that I am very excited to play the finished product.
